Progressive Insurance Service Limited was licensed in October, 2004 by the National Insurance Commission (NIC) to undertake insurance brokerage and restructuring business in Ghana with License No. NIC/IB/PROG. 031/08. The company was incorporated in December 2003 and commenced business on 18th December 2003.

Mr. Nsiah-Afriyie is a Chartered Insurance Practioner. He has a lot of experience in Ghana's Insurance industry by working at top positions with the three largest insurance companies in Ghana:
- Metropolitan Insurance Co. Ltd (now Hollard Insurance), Chief Finanace Officer.
- State Insurance Company (SIC), Deputy Managing Director, Finance and Administration
- Enterprise Insurance CO. Ltd (EIC), General Manager, Finance and Administration
In addition to being a professional insurer, he is also a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Banker and holds MBA from University of Ghana Business School. As an Insurer, banker and accountant, his analysis of insurance risk draws on all the disciplines to provide the best services in handling your business risks exposures, especially insurance risks.
Mr. Nsiah-Afriyie has served on boards of companies including Universal Merchant Bank, HFC Bank, Export Finance Company Limited. He was a member of Council of Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana from 2008 to 2010. Currently, he is a member of the Board of Trustees for NAGRAT Fund
